Vikings sign LB Van Ginkel to contract extension

The Minnesota Vikings have announced the team and former University of South Dakota linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel have come to terms on a contract extension. The deal is for one year and adds $23 million to his current contract, including $22.4 million in guaranteed money. Van Ginkel signed with Minnesota in 2024 and proceeded to start all 17 games for the Vikings. He also had career highs with 11.5 sacks and two interceptions for touchdowns. He was also named to the Pro Bowl and was named All-Pro.
