Northern State softball has three named to All-Conference teams

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2025 Softball All-Conference teams today with three Northern State University Wolves honored. Tevan Bryant led the way on the first team, followed by Madi Jones on the second team, and Avarie Eagle on the defensive team. 2025 marks the second straight year with three honorees for the Wolves, while Bryant earned the first, first team nod since the 2019 season.

Bryant finished her first full season with the Wolves as one of just two players to start every contest. She hit .312, led the team with 32 RBI and was second on the team with 44 hits and six home runs. Against NSIC opponents, Bryant hit .372, ranking 20th in the league standings. In addition, she was 15th in hits, 13th in home runs, and 18th in RBI. This is the first NSIC All-Conference award for Bryant.

Jones finished the year leading the team with a .351 average in 42 games played. She recorded 40 hits, including seven doubles and four home runs, 21 RBI, and 14 runs scored. The Nebraska native added a .380 on base percentage and .518 slugging percentage. She recorded eight multiple hit games in her sophomore campaign. Against league opponents, Jones hit .375, ranking 17th in the NSIC in batting average. She recorded an .898 fielding percentage with 35 putouts and 53 assists. This is the first NSIC All-Conference accolade for Jones.

Eagle appeared in 46 games, making 43 starts in her final season as a Wolf. She hit .321, ranking third on the team with 42 hits, eight doubles, four home runs, 23 RBI, and nine runs scored. The senior notched a .338 on base percentage and .473 slugging percentage. She recorded ten multiple hit games for NSU and closed out her career on a walk-off home run against Bemidji State in the bottom of the seventh. Eagle played outstanding defense, earning her a spot on the NSIC team with a .996 fielding percentage, recording 257 putouts and 11 assists with just one error. She ranked sixth in the NSIC in field percentage this season and was one of just 13 players to record just one error on the year.
