Aberdeen mayor Travis Schaunaman stopped by the Dakota Broadcasting studios last week and talked city business heading into 2026.
Schaunaman is in his second term as mayor, winning re-election in 2024.

The Aberdeen City Council last year voted to turn downtown Aberdeen from a one way into a two way. That project was then walked back after the council heard from the community. Schaunaman suggested money appropriated for that project be diverted to help raise manhole covers on streets where they dip too far down.
