Aberdeen Police Department arrests juvenile Tuesday on eluding and other charges

The Aberdeen Police Department reports an arrest has been made this morning regarding speeding and eluding police. According to police, officers attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of Melgaard Road and South Lincoln Street. The vehicle fled at a high rate but officers did not pursue due to traffic conditions. The vehicle identified as a white Chevy Camaro was later located at 11th avenue southeast and south Jay Street. Officers pulled the vehicle over but the driver attempted to flee on foot. The driver did not put the vehicle in park, causing it to roll into another vehicle. The suspect was ultimately taken into custody and has since been identified only as a male juvenile. He faces aggravated eluding, no valid driver’s license, expired registration and reckless driving charges.
