Aberdeen Police seeks the public’s help in locating hit and run suspect

The Aberdeen Police Department is seeking the public’s help looking for the identification and arrest of a suspect wanted in a hit and run of two children on Friday.

In the original Facebook post from police around 3:00 p.m. The APD was offering a $1,000 reward for information relating to an incident around 8:27 p.m.

Friday September 25th. At that time a group of children were crossing 6th avenue southeast at the South State street intersection on bicycles within the crosswalk.

The pickup wanted in this case failed to stop at a red light striking two of the children. One was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. In an update to the story says the APD has located the vehicle, but the department is still working to identify the driver. This situation remains under investigation.
