Cause of fire unknown for home on 19th ave NE in Aberdeen late last week

Aberdeen Fire and Rescue has released more information about a structure fire in the northeast part of Aberdeen. According to a release, the fire occurred Friday May 26^th at approximately 9:40 a.m. In the 500 block of 19^th avenue northeast. Fire crews arrived and observed smoke coming from a single family home. The fire was located in the basement mechanical room and quickly extinguished. Smoke then needed to be vented from the home and there was water damage throughout as well. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
