Legendary American poker player Doyle Brunson dies at 89

Legendary American poker player Doyle Brunson passed away Sunday at the age of 89. Known for his signature cowboy hat at the poker table, Brunson earned the nickname “The Godfather of Poker” for winning 10 World Series of Poker tournaments during his career. He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 1988 and later became an ambassador for the game, retiring fully in 2018. Brunson was so famous he even has poker hand named after him. “The Brunson” is when a player is dealt a 10-2 suited.
