Milbank native and University of Washington head football coach Kalen DeBoer has been given a contract extension. The deal is a two-year extension and includes a raise in his salary by $1 million in 2023 and $100,000 each subsequent year. He will also receive a $500,000 retention bonus if he is still coaching Washington in March of 2024 and March of 2026 and a $1 million retention bonus in March of 2028. This is his first season at Washington and has the Huskies at a 9-2 regular season record.
