The University of Nebraska fired head football coach Scott Frost following a 1-2 start to this current season. The announcement was made via athletic director Trev Alberts Sunday. The move comes just weeks before Frost’s contract buyout was set to decrease by millions of dollars. Frost was in his fifth season in Lincoln with a record of 16-31 during that time. Associate head coach Mikey Joseph has been named head coach on an interim basis to finish out the rest of the season.
