Second juvenile charged in Huron murder

A second juvenile is facing charges as part of a murder case in Huron. According to the Brookings County State’s Attorney’s Office the suspect has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 41-year-old Nikki Klich of Huron. This second suspect is a 15-year-old female. A 15-year-old male has also been charged back on May 14^th. The incident occurred May 9^th when Klich was shot and killed according to police. Because the two suspects are teens the case will start in juvenile court. Children 16 and older can be tried in adult court in South Dakota.
