Twins owner Jim Pohlad to hand off day-to-day operations to nephew Joe Pohlad

Minnesota Twins owner Jim Pohlad has announced he will be handing off day-to-day operation responsibilities to his nephew Joe Pohlad. The announcement was made in a transition letter sent to staff Monday. Jim Pohlad will remain controlling owner, while Joe will become the executive chair. CEO Dave St. Peter and president of baseball operations Derek Falvey will report directly to Joe. Joe Pohlad is the son of Bob Pohlad who sits on the Twin’s executive board with Him Pohlad and their other brother Bill. Joe Pohland will become the third generation of family leadership of the franchise since the grandfather Carl Pohlad bought the team in 1984.
