Aberdeen City Council approves first reading of an ordinance changing some city fees

The Aberdeen City Council at its Monday meeting approved the first reading of an ordinance which outlines city fees in 2023. Some of the slight fee increases the public might notice. City Finance Director Jordan McQuillen brieflyoutlined the ordinance…

Some of the changes include city garbage fees increasing 75 cents per month, carry out garbage 50 cents.

Wastewater use charges will be increasing 25 cents per 1,000 gallons used, water use 15 cents per 1,000 gallons.

Obstructing snow removal fines increasing $10 for the first 72 hours with fines doubling after that.
