Dakotans for Health and South Dakotans Decide Healthcare combine forces to expand medicaid

South Dakotans Decide Healthcare and Dakotans for Health, two grassroots organizations looking to expand medicaid in South Dakota through initiated measure, have announced they are combining efforts. The two organizations successfully got an initiated measure and constitutional amendment regarding medicaid expansion on the November ballot. Now both organizations are getting behind the constitutional amendment D in an effort to help voters avoid confusion when at the ballot box. And pulling IM 28 off the November ballot. The two groups want to pass the constitutional amendment because those are seen as more difficult for the state legislature to try and change or scale back once in session.
