Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid becomes 4th player in NHL history to record 100 assists in a single season

Edmonton Oilers star forward Connor McDavid notched his 100th assists of the season Monday night in a 9-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks. With that, McDavid becomes just the fourth player in NHL history to record 100 assists in a single season. The only other four are all hall of famers including Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Bobby Orr. The last player to record 100 assists in a season was Gretzky who did it back in the 1990-91 season.
