Fire hydrant testing to begin Tuesday morning

Beginning at approximately 8am on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, weather permitting the Aberdeen Fire Department will begin flow-testing fire hydrants in the following area:

Between 5th St. & Jay St. from North City Limits to South City Limits

The fire department will be opening hydrants and residents will experience some water pressure changes, and in some instances the water will be disturbed to the point of discoloring or appearing rusty.  The project will continue until all hydrants in this area have been tested.  Any questions or concerns can be reported to the Public Works Department at 626-7010.
