North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is set to announce his candidacy for the Republican nomination for President in 2024. According to multiple sources close to the Governor’s campaign, he will announce his plans to run for the White House June 7th at a midday event in Fargo. Burgum is 66-years-old and a Fargo North Dakota native. He made a fortune selling his software company to Microsoft before getting into politics. He will enter a crowded field now including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former president Donald Trump.
