Gov. Noem set to launch third round of “Freedom Works Here” ad campaign

The State of South Dakota is set to begin a third round of Governor Kristi Noem’s “Freedom Works Here” workforce recruitment campaign. Governor Noem again stars in the commercial, this time labeled Building in America. She sites the state’s lack of an income tax and opportunities for on-the-job apprenticeship training along with additional benefits for those willing to relocate to South Dakota. The governor’s office has claimed more than 10,000 people in the last year have joined the state’s labor force after the launching of this campaign. According to the Dakota Scout, this latest part of the campaign is estimated to cost $2.5 million for a total of $9 million since the campaign began in 2023.
