South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has signed on to a letter along with 20 other Governor’s across the country asking President Biden to lift the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the U.S. Armed forces. According to the letter, the Governors believe the current mandate to get vaccinated against COVID-19 is hampering the armed forces ability to recruit new members. The letter calls the situation a national security risk which impacts the nation’s defense capabilities.
