Hamlin county sheriff’s office responds to rollover accident Wednesday morning

The Hamlin County Sheirff’s Office responded to a rollover accident Wednesday morning near Castlewood. According to a post on the department’s facebook page, officers were contacted around 6:30 a.m. For a pickup truck that had rolled on county road 465, about a half mile south of South Dakota Highway 22. The driver is believed to have been traveling north on county road 465 when they lost control on an icy road. The driver had to be extracted from the vehicle by first responders and taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.
