The Minnesota state Senate Friday voted to legalize recreational marijuana for adults via 34-33 vote. The vote was completely partisan with all Democrats voting yes and all Republicans voting no. The House had already passed a recreational cannabis bill, but the two are different which means the two chambers will need to enter a conference committee to hammer out the finer details. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has already said he will sign a recreational marijuana bill once it reaches his desk.
