One of four people involved in Simon Deng murder sentenced

Another one of the four people who had knowledge of the death and disappearance of Simon Deng of Aberdeen in 2022 has been sentenced. 32-year-old Cecelia Walking Bull pleaded guilty to misprision of a felony. In other words, she admitted to having knowledge of the crime, but not immediately reporting it to law enforcement. She has been sentenced to 365 days in jail and given 17 days served. The three others involved in this case, 36-year-old Joshua Ortley of Sioux Falls pleaded guilty to felony manslaughter and has been sentenced to 60 years, 33-year-old Lucinda Buckley of Fargo pleaded guilty to accessory to murder and was sentenced to five years and 38-year-old Kyle Three Legs of Aberdeen has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to stand trial in June.
