The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry board of directors voted to approve the purchase of a new ride at Storybook Land at a meeting on April 11th. The ride is called Barnyard and will be purchased for $435,000. This will be the first new ride at Storybook Land since the addition of the Humpty Dumpty Roller Coaster in 2015. According to Parks and Rec director Mark Hoven, the goal is to have the ride installed and running by Memorial Day weekend 2024.
