Public Works announces road closures and water shut off for fire hydrant replacement

The Aberdeen Public Works Department reports part of South Third Street will be closed today and water will be shut off to allow for fire hydrant replacement. Work is expected to begin at 8:00 a.m. South Third Street will be closed from 11^th avenue southwest to 12^th avenue southwest and water service will be off on South Third Street from 10^th avenue southwest to 12^th avenue southwest until 5:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes until the work is completed. Residents in the affected area are encouraged to collect and store water for personal and restroom use. Work will be completed as quickly as possible.
