The South Dakota state senate killed one of Governor Krsiti Noem’s staple education initiatives in committee Tuesday. The Senate Education Committee voted 4-2 on Tuesday to kill SB100 which would have created a $15 million fund at the state department of education families of foster children could apply for to go towards education costs.
