Dakota Broadcasting along with its partners held the third annual “Shop With a Cop” event this past weekend. This event is a way to celebrate those who serve the Aberdeen community as first responders and help needy families have a wonderful Christmas.
Dakota Broadcasting raises money to send children on shopping sprees at Wal-Mart. While shopping the kids buy presents for themselves and family members. They also get to go shopping with a member of the police force, state patrol, game fish and parks or other first responders. In all, 50 kids and families were helped this weekend. The shoppers and law enforcement were also treated to a special breakfast provided by Buffalo Wings and Rings.
