Timberwolves and Karl Anthony Towns come to terms on new supermax contract extension

The Minnesota Timberwolves and center Karl Anthony Towns have come to terms on a four-year $224 million supermax contract extension according to reports. The deal will begin the 2024-25 season and delivers Towns a contract value of six years and $295 million. Towns is 26 years old and has played his entire career for Minnesota after being selected first overall by the Wolves in 2015. He averages 24.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game this past season, shooting 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from behind the three point line.
