A suspect who pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in South Dakota has been sentenced to life in prison. According to the acting South Dakota Attorney General Mark Vargo, 39-year-old Mitch LeRoy Caffee of Wessington Springs was sentenced Wednesday. He was also ordered to serve 15 years in the state penitentiary on aggravated assault charges. The charges stem from an incident in Wessington Springs in March of 2021. Caffee shot and killed Lorraine Redman and assaulted Kathren Coffee.
