Aberdeen Fire and Rescue responds to structure fire Wednesday

Aberdeen Fire and Rescue reports, first responders were called to the scene of a structure fire Wednesday afternoon around 3:11 p.m. The fire was reported in the 1500 block of South 1^st Street. Upon arrival crews found a single family residence with visible smoke and fire. No occupants were located in the home, but two dogs were found within the dwelling dead. The fire was extinguished and crews remained on the scene to ensure there was no further fire threat. Three people have been displaced due to this incident and are being assisted by the red cross. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, no injuries were reported.
