A Parker man sentenced to 6 years in prison for death of an infant in 2022

A Parker man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, 14 suspended for the death of a fourth-month old baby in September of 2022. 26-year-old Philip Delaney originally faced four counts including second-degree murder but took a plea deal with prosecutors and plead guilty to manslaughter. According to the indictment against Delaney he admitted to becoming frustrated with the child due to his crying so he shook him three or four times. Within seconds the infant became quiet and later died due to its injuries.
