Calves stolen in Brookings county

The Brookings County Sheriff’s office report multiple calves have been stolen from pastures within the county. Authorities believe the crimes took place sometime between Oct. 27th and Nov. 5th on 473rd avenue near 198th street. At least nine black calves with blue or pink ear tags were taken, worth an estimated $10,000. The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information regarding the stolen calves are urged to contact the Brookings County Sheriff’s office at 696-8300 or 605-692-STOP.
