Dakota Broadcasting hosts “Shop With a Cop” radio-thon to raise additional dollars for needy families

Dakota Broadcasting will be celebrating its third year of bringing “Shop With a Cop” to the Aberdeen Community this weekend. On Saturday Dec. 10th, a number of needy families will be provided a shopping spree to help provide a memorable Christmas. Shopping with the families will be Aberdeen Police officers along with officers from Game Fish and Parks, Paramedics, Fire Fighters and more.

This past weekend Dakota Broadcasting hosted a three hour “radio-thon” to help raise money for the event. Over the three hours over $500 was raised to help needy families in the Aberdeen Area.

Dakota Broadcasting is partnering with the Salvation Army of northeast South Dakota to connect with the families in need this holiday season. Joel Arthur with the Salvation Army joined the raido-thon and talked about how helpful the “Shop With a Cop” event is…

The Salvation Army is busy this time of year, not only for “Shop With a Cop”, but also with its mission to help needy families in northeast South Dakota. Arthur gave some examples of the work they will be doing this season…

Arthur hopes the Aberdeen community and greater northeast South Dakota continue to support the Salvation Army and all the efforts they make year round to better the community…
