Failed Republican state house candidate arrested on rape charges

A failed Republican candidate for the state House of Representatives has been arrested on rape charges. According to authorities 37-year-old Bud Marty May was arrested Sunday on second degree rape by force, coercion, or threats. He is currently being held without bond in the Pennington County Jail pending trial. Bud May is the son of fellow Republican lawmaker Liz Marty May who finished in fourth place in the voting for District 27 house. Defeating him was his mother and Democrat Peri Pouier. This comes just days after it was revealed another failed Republican candidate Joel Koskan who ran for District 26th House faced child abuse charges after he allegedly groomed his adopted daughter for sex.
