Aberdeen Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire last Thursday. According to a release from Fire and Rescue, first responders were on the scene for a structure fire at an automotive repair shop at 1st avenue southeast in Aberdeen. Upon arrival, crews found a small fire and smoldering materiel located in the attic. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire and inspected attic to ensure no additional fire concerns. The cause of the fire is considered an accident due to a heating unit. The damage was limited to the attic area and no injuries were reported.
