Flags to fly at half staff at the capital until sunset in memory of James “Jim” Burg

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has ordered flags to fly at half staff at the State Capital until sunset today in honor of the late former state lawmaker James “Jim” Burg. Burg represented Jerauld county in the state house of representatives from 1975 to 1984 and in the state senate from 1985 to 186. He also served as Public Utilities Commissioner in 2004.
