Government Accountability board denies Gov. Noem’s request to dismiss ethics violations against her

The South Dakota Government Accountability Board denied Governor Kristi Noem’s request to have two ethics complaints against her dismissed. The board is looking into the allegations Governor Noem misused the state owned airplane for personal political events and that she wrongfully interfered with her daughter seeking a state issued housing appraiser license. Governor Noem has denied any wrongdoing in both these cases. The three retired judges making up the board unanimously voted to deny her motion to dismiss the complains then voted to give the board an additional 60 days to consider the complains merits.
