The Minnesota State Senate voted 34-32 early Saturday morning to legalize recreational marijuana. The bill has already passed the house and is on its way to Governor Tim Walz desk where he has already said he will sign it into law. This will make Minnesota the 23rd state in the nation to legalize recreational cannabis. The bill will take affect August 1st. Under the measure, residents 21 years and older will be able to possess up to two ounces of marijuana flower in public and two pounds at home. The bill will also expunge low-level state convictions regarding marijuana.
