Public School district determines rumors of threats made this week turned out to be a hoax

The Aberdeen Public School District sent a message to parents this week informing them an investigation into threats made against the Public School District have turned out to be a hoax. In the message, school officials say they have been working in conjunction with the Aberdeen Police Department to assess the validity to these alleged threats, threats which had been circulating since at least Thursday evening. The letter goes on to insist parents that safety is the district’s top priority.
