The South Dakota State Poll has released a new poll showing South Dakota Representative Dusty Johnson as the most popular political figure in the state. The poll was conducted between March 18th through the 27th and spoke with 747 registered voters. Pollsters say it has a 3.6 margin of error. Besides Johnson being the most popular figure overall, among Republicans specifically Governor Noem is the most popular. Among Republicans Senators Thune, Rounds and Representative Johnson are in a statistical tie in popular. Former President Donald Trump is the least popular figure in the poll at 57 percent approval, which is still a positive score, but much lower than SDSU’s polling in the past.
