South Dakota voters are one step closer to getting to vote on term limits in South Dakota. Senate Join Resolution 501 passed out of the senate Monday and is on to the house for further consideration. If made law the question of further strengthening term limits will go before the voters next election. In South Dakota lawmakers can serve eight consecutive years in one of its two elected bodies.
