Roberts County Sheriff’s Department reports second large drug bust in less than a week

The Roberts County Sheriff’s Department reports deputies conducted its second large drug bust in less than a week. According to the release, Tuesday officers received a tip about a potential drug exchange operation in a Sisseton home and executed a search warrant around 7:43 p.m. Officers allege the search turned up 3.38 ounces of cocaine, over 70 hydrocodone pills, over two ounce of marijuana, two loaded handguns and sixteen lower rifle components that appeared to be manufactured. Two suspects currently face two counts of distribution of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, distribution of marijuana, over 2oz, Keeping a place for the use or sale of a controlled substance, possession, and two counts of possession of a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony. This comes just days after Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate law enforcement and the Roberts County sheriff’s department seized 12.4lbs of fentanyl pills and 3.6 lbs of fentanyl powder on Monday.
