(KWAT – Watertown, SD) Two 16 year-old boys are in hot water for a disturbing video they posted on social media.

Codington County Chief Deputy Brent Solum (soh’-lum) says the video shows the two boys in a vehicle intentionally swerving to hit a cow that was attempting to cross a road.

He tells KWAT News it happened in the last few days southeast of Watertown…..

The kids in the video can be heard laughing after the cow was hit, but law enforcement doesn’t find it to be funny at all….

Solum says they were able to identify the owner of the cow…

The juveniles are from Watertown and Henry. The vehicle they were in suffered very little damage.

Solum says the cow was pregnant, and had to be put down after it was intentionally struck.
