Two people were injured in an officer involved shooting in north Sioux Falls Tuesday. According to Sioux Falls Police, a traffic stop was attempted by police at 1:30 p.m. At the Kum & Go gas station on Russell Street and Minnesota Avenue. Officers allege the vehicle began to drive at the officer as they approached. The officer pulled out his duty weapon and fired several times. The officer struck a 22-year-old female in the torso and a 48-year-old male passenger. The identity of those involved have not been released and the case has been turned over to the Division of Criminal Investigation.
