Former Northern State president Tim Downs named president at Minnesota State University – Moorhead

Former Northern State University President Tim Downs has been named the next president of Minnesota State University Moorhead. He was named president by the MSUM Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and will take over effective July 1^st 2023. Downs served as President at Northern State University from 2016 to 2021. According to a release from MSU Moorhead, Downs oversaw the enrollment of 3,500 students and the hiring of 330 employees. HE also led a successful capital campaign raising over $62 million at NSU, raised scholarship endowment funds by $5 million and received $110 million in gifts to the University during his five-year tenure.
